‘We do the best we can with what we know, and when we know better, we do better.’
During challenging times, it’s perfectly reasonable and self-preserving to try and lower your expectations of yourself.
Don’t chastise yourself for being more tired than usual, or perhaps slower, a bit clumsier. If you feel grumpy or irritable, all par for the course right now.
These are all normal responses to stress and pressure. Be kind to yourself, have compassion for where you are at now. We are all doing the best we can.
It also pays to remember that most people are not at their best right now. Many are in a semi-permanent fight or flight mode, so they are not their top-notch selves. This is OK.
Be compassionate with them and see beneath the behaviour that might seem strange. You are probably being a bit weird as well!
We are all doing the best we can with what we have at our disposal, so ebb and flow like waves on a shore fellow human. We will be OK.
Take care and be kind to each other
